Steve Portnoy Joins CFE
After a long term association with both CFE’s telecom and land development business units, Steve Portnoy has now joined the company’s management team effective March 1st. Steve has been a real estate broker/developer in Austin since 1982. His projects have ranged from infill retail centers, mixed use subdivisions and gated community development. Steve has extensive experience as a real estate advisor representing clients on planning, entitlement, project management and permitting issues.

CFE Principal, Hank Smith, P.E., named 2007 Associate of the Year by the Austin Home Builders Association
This honor recognizes Hank’s “can do” involvement with HBA that makes him a valuable asset to the home building industry. Hank’s vast background in water quality and his engineering expertise in the private sector have elevated him to be one of the top engineering consultants in the southwest. Whenever the Texas Legislature is in session, Hank provides unchallengeable testimony on behalf of HBA and spends hours discussing property rights, water rights and other issues critical to the home building industry.

Ralph Sanchez Recognized for his Autodesk Expertise
Ralph Sanchez has been awarded a scholarship with all-expenses paid tuition and travel to Autodesk University 2007 being held in Las Vegas November 27-30, 2007. This is an especially high honor because only two people world-wide received this recognition and scholarship. Ralph is recognized as an expert throughout the industry and is an active member of the Autodesk User Group International (AUGI).
